How much concrete per fence post?

Bags per hole by hole diameter and depth.

A 10 in hole 36 in deep holds about 1.80 ft³ with 10% extra, about 3.0 bags of 80 lb concrete. The post takes up a little room, which the extra roughly covers.

Rule of thumb

Holes should be about three times the post width and a third to half of the post’s above-ground height deep, below your frost line. A 4×4 post usually gets a 10–12 in hole.

For a whole fence line, pick Post holes in the concrete calculator and enter the number of holes.
